In the Beginning…

Ivory House was a small assisted living home established by Hazel Kuchinsky for her elderly father and a few select residents, as he was suffering from chronic health conditions.  During this period of intense hands-on service , Hazel who already was an RN with psychiatric specialty and extensive clinical experience, began to formulate a unique comprehensive care program.  After the passing of her father, she partnered with another nurse colleague to establish Ivory House Health Services, bringing with her the foundations for service at home that had been developed and tested in the Ivory House care center. 

At home living, wherever home may be, is the most cost effective, comforting and safest place for caring for those in need of medical care and a plan for stability and wellness. 

Today, the older population is on the threshold of a boom.  According to U.S. Census Bureau projections, a substantial increase in the number of older people will occur during the 2010 to 2030 period, after the first Baby Boomers turn 65 in 2011.  Ivory House Health Services is on the front line for just such assistance to seniors and their families struggling with chronic diseases, disabilities and the infirmities of aging. 

The Ivory House Team…

Is a select group of compassionate nurses, Geriatric Care Managers and Certified Nursing Assistants working together to allow seniors to live more safely in the comfort of their own homes.  The team is trained and experienced to excel in assisting complex medical situations and struggling families to bring about medical stability, an ongoing care program, documentation of progress and goals and a path to healthy and sustainable living.
