NURSES
SUSAN LEIDY – Clinical Director, Care Management and In-home Services
RN, MSN, CMSRN
Susan Leidy has been serving as our Clinical Director of Care Management and In-home Services since November of 2005. Her many responsibilities include providing care management services, developing and implementing clinical protocols, fostering the ongoing development of staff and monitoring our quality of care.
Prior to joining Ivory House, Susan was employed by the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Over the course of twenty-two years at GBMC she served as Director of Nursing Education, Medical Clinical Nurse Specialist and Director of Geriatric Clinical Services. She is licensed to practice nursing both in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Ms. Leidy is a member of the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses and the national honor society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau (Eta Chapter.) She received her diploma in nursing from the Washington Hospital Center School of Nursing in Washington, DC, a Bachelor of Science from Elizabethtown College and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition she holds a Master of Liberal Arts from the Johns Hopkins University. Active in her professional organization, Ms. Leidy was selected as an exam writer by the Academy of Medical Surgical Nursing Certification Board.
SUE MADDOX – Community Nurse Liaison
RN, BSN
Sue Maddox has been with Ivory House since 2003, first as a Nursing Aide Supervisor and more recently as Community Nurse Liaison. Her role is many-faceted, with responsibilities that range from visiting clients and addressing their needs to managing medications and attending doctors’ appointments. She spends most of her time in the field, looking after the many details important to the care of Ivory House clients.
Beginning as a “pinkie” at Union Memorial Hospital, she later worked in several areas of hospital care at Maryland General. She attended nursing school and earned her RN and AA degrees from Essex Community College. She also holds a BSN degree from Notre Dame College of Maryland and is currently working part-time on a Masters degree in Nursing with a teaching focus. Her career includes experience in Obstetrics / Newborn Nursery, Adolescent School and Residential Care, Eldercare and Assisted Living as well as personal family exposure to Alzheimer’s disease.
MELANIE MEREDITH – Care Manager
Melanie Meredith has worked as a Care Manger with Ivory House since 2000. Her focus within the organization involves the more complex medical and behavioral situations, from assessment through care-planning stages. She also works on developing the skills of caregivers and strategies for improvement in our clients’ quality of life. Her approach to helping seniors remain in their homes draws from successful examples in her own family.
Ms. Meredith is a Master’s prepared nurse who is Care Manager Certified and a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
OFFICE PERSONNEL
SERENNA CONIC-PARKS – Staffing Coordinator / Office Manager
Serenna Conic-Parks serves as the Staffing Coordinator and Office Manager of Ivory House Health Services. It is her responsibility to provide clients of Ivory House with the best and most suitable caregivers available to them. She is also responsible for initiatives related to recruitment and retention, as well as the scheduling of clinical staff and supervision of office personnel.
Ms. Conic-Parks attended Baltimore City Community College and has obtained certification as a Multi-Skilled Medical Technician. She began her career at Ivory House as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and hopes to stay with the organization as she progresses towards becoming a Registered Nurse (RN).
MARKETING & SALES
LYNISE JOHNSON – Marketing & Sales Specialist
Lynise Johnson has been in the marketing and sales department of Ivory House since June of 2006. Her primary role is to attract new clients by communicating the benefits of the many services that are available here. She, in turn, was attracted to Ivory House by its culture of compassion and commitment to the caring values that she shares.
Ms. Johnson is a graduate of Morgan State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the Earl Graves School of Business.
