Ivory House maintains licenses both as a Residential Service Agency and a Nursing Staff Agency. That means our CNA’s are licensed to work in private homes as well as most facilities, and that our clients are able to receive the best help regardless of where they are located. Our caregivers are also Maryland certified to provide both assistance and dependent levels of care.
Because our services are not covered by Medicare, nor most insurance carriers, we are committed to helping clients meet financial challenges and get the best care possible. We handle paperwork, act as advocates for our clients and make referrals to professionals that can advise on financial options. We are also qualified to perform the initial assessments necessary for activating some long term care insurance policies.

After making a referral, your level of communication with Ivory House will depend on your relationship with the person you refer. If you are a medical professional with an ongoing relationship with the client, we obtain written permission to share information in compliance with HIPAA. If you’re part of the care team, we want to keep you fully informed. If we’re working with someone in one of your facilities, we become part of your care team and work within your system to help meet the needs of our client. In every case, we do all that is necessary to protect client confidentiality.
