Our Mission is to develop and implement an innovative, client-focused model of professional care that maintains dignity, comfort, independence and the highest quality of life possible for our clients.
Value # 1: Caring and Compassion
- We treat clients, families and stakeholders as valued members of an extended family
- We respect and honor differences of background, culture, religion and heritage and incorporate them into the plan of care
- We aim to include individual choice and client goals in any care provided
- We value individual dignity and do everything possible to maintain it

- We assist clients and families in identifying goals for treatment and care

- We adopt professional standards of care and consistently incorporate advances in practices based upon scientific evidence and the needs of the client

- We make ongoing efforts to improve communication with clients, families and stakeholders
- We recognize the importance of maintaining sensitive client information in a confidential manner and utilize a written Confidentiality of Information agreement
- We utilize all available and appropriate tools of communication, including verbal, written and electronic
- We encourage and provide opportunities for client feedback
- We provide mechanisms for employee feedback and perform periodic performance evaluations for all employees and staff members
Value #4: Ethical Behavior
- We conduct business with integrity, using ethical standards as put forth by the governing bodies and organizations regulating our industries
- We adhere to a policy of billing and seeking reimbursement only for accurate and properly documented services
- We encourage clients to call if they have questions about billing and provide assistance in understanding the charges for their care
- We are knowledgeable about the laws, rules and regulations that govern the industries in which we operate and consider compliance to be a core value and serious responsibility of all Ivory House Health Services personnel
- We compete fairly in establishing the pricing of services in our healthcare market and do not collaborate with our competitors in determining our prices
- We do not pay for patient referrals nor accept payments for referrals that we make, and we use no funds or resources to improperly influence referrals
- We do not solicit gifts, tips or gratuities from clients, families or others as a result of services performed
- We outline certain times when it is appropriate to accept a gift, meal or invitation to a social event in our Ivory Home Health Services handbook policy
Value #5: Teamwork
- We encourage a team approach stressing the development of trust, understanding and communication
- We regard clients and their families as team members
- We make every reasonable effort to protect the health and safety of all employees by providing a safe work environment in the office and all client residences
- We do not unlawfully use, possess, transport, sell or attempt to sell any form of narcotics, depressants, stimulants, hallucinogens or other controlled substances while working or conducting Ivory House Health Services business
- We maintain a smoke-free environment in the office
- We provide equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, marital status, veteran status or disability
- We do not tolerate threatened or actual harassment, physical violence or abusive language towards any personnel, client, family member or visitor to our organization

- We conduct clinical meetings on a weekly basis to discuss the evolving needs of each client
- We are committed to providing a holistic model of care for our clients which relies on various members of the health care team sharing guidance and feedback with one another
- We encourage the development of caring relationships between the client/family, their health care team and the personnel in our home office
- We are committed to putting the “health” into community-based health care
- We believe that in order to make informed choices, it is important for consumers of in-home care to be educated about the many options that exist, and we volunteer time and resources to further that goal
