Differences between In Home Care provided by an Agency versus Registry model.

With Ivory House Health Services: With a Registry:
Staff are employees paid by a company requiring supervision and oversight Caregivers are Independent Contractors
Benefits are paid; taxes are taken out of pay by agency. Tax information is provided to the employee as required by law Contractors are given 1099 at end of year; no taxes are taken out of paycheck.
Staff is covered by liability, bonding and workmans compensation insurance No benefits
Billing comes directly from the agency provider. No money exchanges with caregivers. Payment for services is given directly to the Independent Caregivers
Services are monitored and regulated by the state to assure regulations and guidelines concerning home health service are followed. Independent Contractors have no oversight
